Designed by Frank Lloyd Wright for Michigan State University art professors in 1940, the Goetsch–Winckler house was built as part of a larger planned Usonian community that eventually found its place in Pleasantville, NY. His mission is well exemplified by this single-level home, complete with original, Wright-designed furniture and constructed in harmony with the surrounding tree line.
