The best hotels in Aspen offer everything from luxury spa experiences and fine dining to ski-in, ski-out access and all the après-ski cocktails you can get your hands on.

Best Hotels in Aspen
Perks: Daily champagne sabering, full-service spa, heated outdoor pool, multiple on-site restaurants, pet-friendly, valet parking
For the ultimate choice in old-school luxury, check in to the St. Regis. The grand, chalet-style property sits at the foot of Aspen Mountain—just a five-minute walk from the Silver Queen Gondola—and pairs classic Rocky Mountain charm with five-star hospitality. Inside, rooms are outfitted with buttery leather headboards, fine linens, marble bathrooms, and mountain views framed by mahogany trim, while the hotel’s on-call butler service handles everything from unpacking luggage to drawing a post-ski bath. The Remède Spa remains one of the best in town, offering everything from oxygen facials to multiple heated outdoor pools (perfect for a post-slopes soak). Yet this grande dame doesn’t take itself too seriously. Since 2023, it’s been home to The Snow Lodge, a winter spinoff of Montauk’s famed Surf Lodge. The après scene here has become the hottest ticket in Aspen—Diplo, Rampa, and Bob Moses have all spun sets in the open-air courtyard—while the group’s new supper club and nightlife concept brings coastal-cool energy to the Rockies with candlelit dinners, Champagne towers, and late-night dancing under the stars. It’s a rare blend of heritage and hedonism—the kind of place where you can trade ski boots for stilettos without missing a beat. From $649 per night.
Perks: Fitness center, multiple restaurants and bars, in-town transport, heated pool and hot tubs, pet-friendly
If you know the Auberge Resorts name, you know to expect the best of the best when it comes to amenities and design. Set in a stately redbrick building on East Main Street, the Hotel Jerome has been an Aspen icon since 1889—long before the town became synonymous with jet-set ski culture. The interiors preserve the Western charm (think rich leather furnishing, vintage photographs, and taxidermy) that is the Jerome’s birthright while providing luxury touches and see-and-be-seen nightlife options like the Michelin-rated on-site restaurant, Prospect, or the live music at the sultry, subterranean Bad Harriet cocktail bar. Also within their walls is the storied J-Bar, which is said to have been a favorite of regular Hunter S. Thompson. Between soirees, guests can take advantage of the hotel’s complimentary shuttle to Ajax, Buttermilk, Snowmass, and Highlands, or sign up for exclusive Auberge-curated outdoor excursions, from backcountry snowmobiling and starlit snowshoe treks to romantic horse-drawn sleigh rides through the valley. From $694 per night.
Perks: Ski-in/ski-out, heated outdoor pool, spa and fitness center, airport transfers, concierge desk, complimentary mini bar snacks and soft drinks
The only AAA Five Diamond–rated hotel in Aspen, the Little Nell blends the best of the West with the cosmopolitan luxuries you’d expect from a five-star hotel. Every detail is dialed in. Guests can unwind at the heated outdoor pool and hot tub, book a treatment at the Little Nell Spa, or rely on the property’s Les Clefs d’Or–certified concierge team, who have a reputation for making the impossible happen (heli-skiing trip to Telluride, anyone?). Food and wine take center stage here, too—the hotel’s Chefs & Somms dinners pair Michelin-caliber cuisine with rare vintages from a 20,000-bottle cellar, one of the most impressive in the Rockies. But it’s on the mountain where The Little Nell truly shines. The Ski Concierge team can arrange first tracks before the lifts open, snowcat powder tours, or private gear fittings in your room, ensuring you’re perfectly prepped from helmet to bindings. From $800 per night.
Perks: Rooftop hot tub, lobby bar and restaurant, pet-friendly, EV charging
For a quieter boutique experience, you’ll want to stay at Mollie Aspen. Opened in late 2023, the hotel blends Japanese and Scandinavian design, creating an atmosphere that feels immediately restorative. Roomy plush leather chairs, well-worn rugs, custom woodwork, and a plethora of unique design accents welcome weary travelers and exhausted skiers, exuding the type of vibe you’d expect from a well-loved and hard-to-reach mountain chalet. Despite the tucked-away vibe, Mollie’s location couldn’t be more central—you’re steps from downtown’s galleries, the Aspen Art Museum, and cultural landmarks like the Aspen Institute and Wheeler Opera House. If you’re too tired for a jaunt downtown, the Mollie also has a lobby restaurant and poolside rooftop bar where you can while away the hours. The rooftop, in particular, has become a gathering spot for the design-savvy après crowd, offering mountain views and mellow vinyl playlists. From $278 per night.
Perks: All-suite accommodations, outdoor heated lap pool and hot tub, fitness center, tennis and pickleball courts, shuttle service
Backed up against the Rocky Mountains, Aspen Meadows Resort is a midcentury masterpiece tailor-made for design aficionados. Originally conceived as part of the Aspen Institute campus, the property is steeped in Bauhaus principles, with clean lines, geometric forms, and a joyful use of primary colors throughout its public and private spaces. Best for art and design nerds, the common spaces and rooms feature more than a couple of art exhibits, Frank Gehry’s iconic bentwood chairs in Plato’s Restaurant, and Corbusier’s LC2 sofas planted in front of fireplaces throughout the property’s lounges. Some of the stand-out amenities include a shuttle service with routes into town and the Aspen airport, a heated salt-water pool and hot tub, and ski butler service. When you’re looking to venture outside of the hotel’s chic walls, there are 40 acres to explore, which include plenty of great sledding hills for those visiting in the winter months and a massive sculpture collection. With so much space for playing, there are more activities for visitors than could fit into 10 different trips. Can’t-miss itinerary items include themed scavenger hunts, hot-air balloon rides, fly fishing, snowshoeing, and—of course—lots of skiing. From $359 per night.
Perks: Airport shuttle, pet-friendly, on-site fitness room, rooftop lounge
For travelers who want to be right in the heart of it all, The Limelight Hotel Aspen offers front-row access to the town’s best shops, restaurants, and bars—plus it’s just steps from the Silver Queen Gondola, which whisks skiers to the top of Aspen Mountain in under 20 minutes. The atmosphere is lively yet low-key, thanks to communal spaces like the buzzy lounge, where locals and visitors gather for wood-fired pizzas, live music, and craft cocktails. The property staff helps guests craft the perfect stay, with activities ranging from hiking adventures, whitewater rafting, art museum visits, and more. Some rooms feature balconies and patios and are draped in mountain charm (think: wool blankets and fireplaces). From $299 per night.

Perks: Wrap-around deck, washer and dryer, wood burning fireplace, Wi-fi
Tucked just behind the St. Regis, this one-bedroom apartment puts you right in the center of Aspen without feeling caught in the crowd. The interiors are warm and functional rather than flashy—a wood-burning fireplace, buttery cotton linens from Garnier-Thiebaut, and plenty of closet space for your suitcases give the space an easy, lived-in comfort. A wraparound deck nearly doubles the footprint, inviting morning coffee in the sun or an après-ski glass of wine with views of the surrounding peaks. Everything is set up to make a stay feel effortless. There’s dedicated parking, air conditioning, and in-unit laundry, plus a Sonos sound system and high-speed Wi-Fi for streaming or working remotely. The open kitchen has all the essentials, while the living room feels like a natural place to gather after a day outside. Professionally managed by Aspen Vacations, guests enjoy thoughtful extras—from an invitation to the members-only Caribou Club to insider tips on local dining and trail access. Steps from world-class restaurants, boutiques, and the Silver Queen Gondola, this retreat feels equal parts modern pied-à-terre and alpine hideaway—a polished perch for soaking in the best of Aspen, no ski-valet required. From $408 per night.
Perks: Full kitchen, balcony with grill, private ski locker, wood burning fireplace
Just two blocks from the Silver Queen Gondola, this newly renovated two-bedroom, two-bath condo at South Point delivers that sweet spot between comfort and style. The design is clean and contemporary—quartzite countertops, warm wood accents, and soft neutral tones—but it still feels like a place you can actually relax in. A wood-burning fireplace anchors the open living room, where the sliding glass door to the patio frames views of the forest. The kitchen is fully stocked for cooking at home, with top-end appliances and a dining island that doubles as the social hub of the space. Both bedrooms have king beds and the bathrooms feature heated tile floors and plush robes—a small but welcome luxury after a day on the slopes. There’s plenty of comfort built in for longer stays too: high-speed Wi-Fi and a dedicated workspace, individual room temperature controls, and covered parking with a private ski locker. From $424 per night.
Perks: Fireplace, free parking, washer and dryer, shared pool and hot tub
Right on the edge of downtown Aspen, this riverfront condo feels worlds away from the bustle. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame the Roaring Fork River, filling the space with natural light and the sound of rushing water. Inside, the palette is crisp and minimal—soft grays, creamy whites, and natural wood—letting the view take center stage. The open living area flows onto a private balcony, and a sleek kitchen with stainless appliances and stone counters may convince you to eat in. Better yet, there’s some practical touches, like in-unit laundry and high-speed internet, as well as amenities more commonly seen in hotels, such as a shared indoor pool, hot tub, and gym. From $412 per night.
Perks: Rooftop observatory with professional-grade telescope, mountain views, close to downtown
A Victorian home is not what you’d expect to rent in a mountain town, but that’s exactly why we love it. Nestled just outside of downtown Aspen, this beautiful house is just a six-minute walk from the John Denver Sanctuary and eight minutes from the base of Aspen Mountain. Its six bedrooms sleep up to 12 people and the living spaces are full of cozy seating and accents. The hot tub out back is ready for a post-ski dip and the dining areas are perfect for family-style meals. The real draw, though, is the observatory and telescope on the top floor, which makes for some of the best stargazing you’ll ever find. From $5,226 per night.
Perks: Ample privacy, fully equipped kitchen, outdoor space
For an experience that’s not quite off-the-grid but also not in the heart of glitzy Aspen, we recommend this midcentury-inspired garden studio nestled inside a beautiful log cabin. Here you can enjoy the privacy of the studio or venture upstairs to the enormous shared kitchen and living space. At just five minutes from the Frying Pan River, this cabin is a dream for fly fishermen, but stay here and you’ll also be five minutes from a lakefront and boat launch, 20 minutes to Basalt, Colorado, and just 45 minutes from Aspen Snowmass. A stay just on the outskirts of Aspen opens up an entire world of activity that goes way beyond skiing. From $225 per night.
Perks: Secluded in nature, fireplace, gondola balcony
If your idea of an Aspen vacation means spending your days deep in the backcountry, this is the rental for you. Mostly because you can’t drive there—you have to ski or snowshoe or snowmobile. Even in the summer, this cabin is only accessible by biking or hiking trails. But that’s the beauty of it. The cabin is in the Gondola Village at Holy Cross City, high above Vail and Aspen, just outside the Holy Cross Wilderness, one of Colorado’s greatest outdoor playgrounds. No matter what outdoor sport is your preferred choice, you can do it right out of the front door. The cabin sleeps up to three people, but we think it’d be perfect for a solo weekend or a couple’s retreat at 11,700 feet. From $129 per night.
